Greensea Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Greensea celebrated 15 years of operation with a company-wide retreat in late July. The company brought everyone who could make the trip and their families together for two days full of working and playing. The weather in Vermont was horrible leading up to the event but Mother Nature did her best and showed the out-of-staters what Vermont, at its finest, is like. Warm days and cool nights (ok, damn cold if you were visiting from SC or CA) made playing on Saturday all that more enjoyable.
There were a lot of new faces. Greensea has hired a LOT of people since the pandemic started and several of these new employees are remote. The retreat was a chance for the entire Greensea family to break bread together. Friday started with presentations about company status and direction that we are headed. Each department had a chance to introduce their teams and talk about what happens on a day-to-day basis.
We ended Friday with a party at Cochran’s Ski Area with a fabulous meal by our neighbors, The Big Spruce. Saturday was spent mountain biking, zip-lining, and/or river tubing. The weekend ended at the ECHO Center in Burlington, Vermont.
The retreat accomplished its goal of removing the distance between each of us so that when we are on a Zoom call or communicating via Slack, we know each other just a tiny bit better.
Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Greensea expands in Richmond
|
|
We recently expanded
our office space in Richmond. The new space is in The Creamery just down the hill from the main office. Now Richmond seems to be really full of Greensea employees as there are lots of people walking between the two buildings.
Ben stated, “I am committed to growing the company in Vermont and right here in Richmond. This new facility gives us additional space for vehicle testing, software integration, and control system development.”
